Turns out, my primary e-mail address was potentially compromised in a hack — not just once, but four times. And of course, I still had the same password from 2014. Oops. (Which coincidentally, was my password…)
“Have I Been Pwned” is so simple — a toddler you are mindlessly occupying with an iPad can do it. Simply enter any of your e-mail addresses in a box — and it will search to see if you got caught up in any of big data mining hacks. (I got snagged in both the Adobe & MySpace hacks, plus two others)
If you have any that come up compromised, I would suggest to change not only your e-mail password — but any other sites that you used it for as well. I don’t know about you, but, I like money — and would hate to see our bank accounts drained. — [e.k.]
